- MAKING CONNECTIONS - The Seasons: A Heavy Snow Fall

I read a new book, and this book was a poetry book. There was poem in this book, called The Seasons.

I made a connection with this poem in the book, because of what it was talking about.
The poem was called A Heavy Snow Fall By: Riu.

This poem connected with me because of what it was talking about, how when the world is all good and its winter time, the snow is covering everywhere in the world wide open for people to be able to see it. But there is no spot open to view it.
This in someway relates to me, when I am a nice, and lovely person. And I feel great inside, no one ever gets the chance to see me and that side of me. Even though the whole world knows I am capable of being that kind of wonderful person, no one ever sees it in me, because sometimes I am so closed up in side I never let people have a spot to see me.
Same with the snow. We all know that there is snow outside and its beautiful to look at, but we are all never able to view it, because there isn't a spot anywhere to view it. In winter time there is so much snow we are never able to get a good view of it anywhere. Like how the snow is so closed up inside, and needs to be more open I believe I need to do the same. This poem was written by an author who used the season as an analogy for how some people are like winter they are a heavy weight of beauty inside and out but because they are so closed in (meaning very deep, and not very open) you can never really get the chance to view the wonders of them, and in this case I happen to act like that.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: THE MOON AND MORE

I do sometimes see myself having similar problems as Emaline, just because I guess you could say its a sister thing. So somethings that Emaline and I do have in common is that we both have an older sister that we feel we always have to impress. Emaline's big sister Margo is always expecting a lot out of Emaline, and Emaline is always trying to prove herself to Margo, because Margo has her own business and she is smart. Emaline basically looks up to her. In the book its pretty obvious to pick up on the sisterly rivalry.

Myridian and I are most of the time competing with each other, from who has the best grades to who has the best outfit, and sometimes I will go out of my way to impress her or to make her jealous. Because like Emaline, I look up to my sister as well.

In the story Emaline, and Margo are not really fighting, they are just sometimes having moments when they snicker at each other. Like this one time when Margo came home and Luke and Emaline were in there talking, and when Luke left to the other room Margo made a little snicker remark saying when are you guys gonna take the "next step", which means getting engaged, because Luke and Emaline have been dating for years, and everyone is surprised they haven't married yet. But other than that Emaline and Margo don't fight very often.

And that is kinda similar to Myridian, and I because we don't have much huge arguments anymore, but when we were younger we use to have huge fights, but I guess now that we are both more older were not at each others throats as much like Emaline and Margo.

Well that is all for this week. And that was a connection I shared in this story that I had recently thought of as I was reading for this week.

p.s. I FINALLY DID SOMETHING NEW! LOL!!!

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS: THE MOON AND MORE

I have recently started a new book called the Moon and More by Sarah Dessen

I also had some questions and wonderings, one of my questions and wonderings were if Emaline was going to work for Margo her older sister again this summer. This has a been a major wondering of mine.

As I read more I realized, and found out that. It was a tradition for Margo to have Emaline work for her every summer, but the only reason that Emaline was only thinking of going otherwise to another place to work this summer was because her sister Margo was a lot to handle. Margo is very bossy, and kinda hard to please, which is why Margo and Emaline had their differences. But because they're close sisters they always seem to find a way to meet again at close ground.

Overall in the beginning as I read, I kinda thought that Emaline would end up working somewhere new this summer, and I was wrong. My question and wondering have now been answered after I read and found out more about each character in my new book I am reading.
