Questions and Wonderings: The Moon and More

As i read the moon and more I get more drawn into the relationship Margo and Emaline have as sisters, its actually very interesting to read about how they work together and how their relationship goes, and how Emaline is actually hanging out with Luke and Margo, like going out to eat with them. Basically they're relationship as sisters was growing. But I was wondering if that was going to last.

Like what if there was a small mess up  they have or argument, would things instantly go back to being distant sisters? So as I read for this week,  I learned that the only thing that could probably put a damper in their relationship is work. One morning for work Emaline had showed up late, and had brought herself breakfast from home, because she didn't have time to eat it. And when she got to work Margo gave her a hard time because she was late, and secondly because she has the nerve to bring food to work, and not even bring anything for everyone else.

Honestly, I see were Margo is coming from, but on the other hand that is whats rough about working in a business with your family, the relationship you have professionally may backfire and effect your personal relationship. That is actually what happened, Margo had been upset all day, and then next. Eventually she will get over it, but I think that Margo should find a way to make up for it, by showing Margo that she is committed to the job by acting more professional.

- MAKING CONNECTIONS - The Seasons: A Heavy Snow Fall

I read a new book, and this book was a poetry book. There was poem in this book, called The Seasons.

I made a connection with this poem in the book, because of what it was talking about.
The poem was called A Heavy Snow Fall By: Riu.

This poem connected with me because of what it was talking about, how when the world is all good and its winter time, the snow is covering everywhere in the world wide open for people to be able to see it. But there is no spot open to view it.
This in someway relates to me, when I am a nice, and lovely person. And I feel great inside, no one ever gets the chance to see me and that side of me. Even though the whole world knows I am capable of being that kind of wonderful person, no one ever sees it in me, because sometimes I am so closed up in side I never let people have a spot to see me.
Same with the snow. We all know that there is snow outside and its beautiful to look at, but we are all never able to view it, because there isn't a spot anywhere to view it. In winter time there is so much snow we are never able to get a good view of it anywhere. Like how the snow is so closed up inside, and needs to be more open I believe I need to do the same. This poem was written by an author who used the season as an analogy for how some people are like winter they are a heavy weight of beauty inside and out but because they are so closed in (meaning very deep, and not very open) you can never really get the chance to view the wonders of them, and in this case I happen to act like that.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: THE MOON AND MORE

I do sometimes see myself having similar problems as Emaline, just because I guess you could say its a sister thing. So somethings that Emaline and I do have in common is that we both have an older sister that we feel we always have to impress. Emaline's big sister Margo is always expecting a lot out of Emaline, and Emaline is always trying to prove herself to Margo, because Margo has her own business and she is smart. Emaline basically looks up to her. In the book its pretty obvious to pick up on the sisterly rivalry.

Myridian and I are most of the time competing with each other, from who has the best grades to who has the best outfit, and sometimes I will go out of my way to impress her or to make her jealous. Because like Emaline, I look up to my sister as well.

In the story Emaline, and Margo are not really fighting, they are just sometimes having moments when they snicker at each other. Like this one time when Margo came home and Luke and Emaline were in there talking, and when Luke left to the other room Margo made a little snicker remark saying when are you guys gonna take the "next step", which means getting engaged, because Luke and Emaline have been dating for years, and everyone is surprised they haven't married yet. But other than that Emaline and Margo don't fight very often.

And that is kinda similar to Myridian, and I because we don't have much huge arguments anymore, but when we were younger we use to have huge fights, but I guess now that we are both more older were not at each others throats as much like Emaline and Margo.

Well that is all for this week. And that was a connection I shared in this story that I had recently thought of as I was reading for this week.

p.s. I FINALLY DID SOMETHING NEW! LOL!!!

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS: THE MOON AND MORE

I have recently started a new book called the Moon and More by Sarah Dessen

I also had some questions and wonderings, one of my questions and wonderings were if Emaline was going to work for Margo her older sister again this summer. This has a been a major wondering of mine.

As I read more I realized, and found out that. It was a tradition for Margo to have Emaline work for her every summer, but the only reason that Emaline was only thinking of going otherwise to another place to work this summer was because her sister Margo was a lot to handle. Margo is very bossy, and kinda hard to please, which is why Margo and Emaline had their differences. But because they're close sisters they always seem to find a way to meet again at close ground.

Overall in the beginning as I read, I kinda thought that Emaline would end up working somewhere new this summer, and I was wrong. My question and wondering have now been answered after I read and found out more about each character in my new book I am reading.

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS: Along for the Ride

I have recently been wondering what is going on between Auden and Jake. And I was also wondering if Auden was really into him, or if she was into someone else. I was wondering this because this summer Auden's relationship had been very bleak.

One day after work Auden, and Maggie went off to the coffee shop, and when Auden walked inside she had saw Jake. It was really weird when she and Maggie saw him, because of the history. Maggie and Auden had both went out with Jake, but Maggie actually dated him. Auden also did not tell Maggie about this because things were going so well for them as friends, so Auden never told her.

The reason Jake and Auden ended things very soon, was because later on after Auden spent some more time with her friends she found out that Jake was Maggie's ex, and their were complications between them, and that's just a small reason why Auden ended it, but the main reason was because Auden had been having feelings for someone else. The someone else happens to be Jake's older brother.

After Auden was done with Jake she felt relieved, she really did find much pleasure in him, but she did in Jake's brother, because he was very intelligent, cute, and he was mature as well. Auden never really had a crush on a guy because she never really pictured herself dating anyone, at least not until college. Since Auden is going to college next year she thought it was as good as any time to start doing trial dates, but the only problem was that Auden couldn't date because Jake's brother was on her mind 24/7.

So after I was done reading I did get my questions and wondering answered. There is nothing going on between Jake and Auden anymore, and Auden wasn't really that into Jake she only went out with him to a party because he was cute, and he seemed very charming, but soon she found out he was just an immature teenager. Auden is actually into someone else, she is into Jake's brother. So overall I got all my questions and wonderings for this week answered.

THE STORY IS GETTING JUICY..... :D

QUESTIONS and WONDERINGS: ALONG FOR THE RIDE by Sarah Dessen

Along for the ride by Sarah Dessen

As I read Along for the Ride, I was recently wondering how things are going to work out between Auden and the three girls, Maggie, Leah, and Esther. And I was questioning if they were evening able to become friends, because in the past at school they rarely even talked, and they Auden wasn't exactly the type of person who really wanted to make friends.

Auden was becoming closer to Maggie, and the other girls, because she was able to see them everyday. And before in high school Auden never really took the time to get to know them, or know how they are as a person. But day by day as Auden was around them now in the summer, she was able to connect with them, and actually get to know them and see what great friends they are. Auden and the other girls had a bunch of dance parties at work, and went out for coffee a couple of times. And as time went on Auden was able to have real friends to hangout with. Auden was getting more excited at the outcome of what the job brought her, and how it helped her become more open, and friendly.

My question, and wondering was answered. I found out that Auden and the other girls, grew a close friendly relationship, and they actually talked, and hung out more. So my wondering was answered, Auden was able to make friends, even though she never really talked to them before at high school. I also got another question answered. Which was whether or not this new summer job is helping Auden out, and making her have a better summer, and actually let become more fun and loose and become more open. And yes this did happen, this summer job helped Auden come out and actually hangout this summer, with other friends,

QUESTIONS & WONDERING (ALONG for the Ride)

ALONG for the RIDE by Sarah Dessen

I have recently been wondering why Auden was very cautious when she was around Eli.
As I was reading, it seems as if to me. That Auden was distanced from Eli. So as I read more of the story I began to get my question, and wondering answered.

So I found out why Auden was distant from Eli, it was because Eli was Jake's brother. And Maggie, Leah, Esther, and herself all found Jake annoying. And so when they met Jake's older brother Eli, they instantly assumed he was the same way, but as Auden observed everyone better, Auden realized that Eli is more mature.

Auden wasn't actually being very distant she was just shy, because Auden had actually just developed a little crush on Eli, but since he is Jake's older brother she wasn't sure how to act.

I am now no longer wondering what the fuse between Auden, and Eli is, because now I know more details about everyone's connections. Of whose friends with who, and who is related to who.
Which is actually good to know, because when new characters enter in the middle of the story it is hard to keep up with them and their life, while still trying to focus on the main characters life. But overall I picked up on a lot of new information in the story as I read.

QUESTIONS AND WONDERING (Along for the Ride) :

BOOK: Along for the ride by Sarah Dessen

I have recently been wondering if Auden was going to do anything fun this summer. Because now that the school year is over, Auden is on summer break. Auden has not yet done anything fun or interesting other than hanging out at home. So I had been recently wondering if Auden was going to actually have a productive, but still fun summer. As I read I found out that Auden was really into books, and she was good at organizing them. One night while Auden was at home Heidi needed help organizing the books on the shelf in the house, and when Auden helped her, Heidi was surprised at how well organize she did the books. Heidi also has her own store that she runs, and she sell books, and sunglasses, and many other small necessity items. Auden knew that she had a store but Auden didn't know that Heidi needed any help, and was even offering a job. Until Heidi actually offered her a job and told her she needed help. When Auden was offered the job she was going to say no because this summer Auden wanted to do some fun things, and her idea of fun wasn't really working a job. But Heidi explained to Auden that she would get a good pay, and that the times are very flexible, and Heidi also added that she needed a lot more help organizing the books since she is busy with her baby.

Auden was going to say no, but she knew that Heidi could use a little help, and plus Auden needed some money since she's going to be starting school again. Because Auden had no way of making any money to help out with school for next year. Plus Auden wasn't really busy.

So I got my questions and wondering answered, and it seems that Auden is going to be starting a job this summer, but she still will have fun this summer because the work time is flexible. Also when Auden went in on her first day there, she met the other few people she will be working with, and they all are girls from her class. Auden was never really friends with them or anyone for that matter in high school, but it seems that since she is hanging out with the other few girls, and Maggie as well who works there too, she is having a little more fun this summer, and is loosing up a bit. So overall I think Auden taking this summer job so far is a good idea.

Questions and Wonderings:

I recently have been wondering why Auden puts so much attention and effort into studying, and school then needed. Auden already easily made good grades, and understood the material fast as well, but still Auden confides in knowing more and doing more. I know this is a good thing, but in my story it says she is already at a very prestigious school, and they are pushing her. So why does she have to push further then ever? Is my wondering.

So I continued to read as always, and as I read I got to know the characters a little bit better. I already knew her parents affected her mentality a little bit because of the whole divorce, which is one of the reasons she has insomnia. But her parents also aren't really paying her enough attention to her as much as they should. I have noticed each character has some sort of expected role. The father to provide, the mom to well confide in, and then the theres her other sibling the lazy/attention hogger. So she really didn't fit anywhere except the role of the expected oldest to always do everything right.

So overtime Auden built up a whole plan in her mind on how to get her parents attention. She at first thought that if she exceed more and more they would pay her some time of day. But that was not the case, instead it became just expected and apart of the everyday bases. And as time went by her sibling kept getting bad grades, which got most of the attention from her parents, whether it was positive or negative it was something. And soon Auden realized that the only way she would get there attention, is if she failed, or got bad grades. Which she would have started to do, but she already was wired into getting good grades, and being able to understand everything so well. So it was too late. But I personally think that, that is a stupid way to think. I would rather have no attention then bad attention, but thats just me. I do understand were she is coming from after all its her parents she wants attention from, and everybody always loves having some attention from them. But I don't think the way she thought about going about this was right. But that is just my thought on her plan. So her plan didn't really work out in the end, and well she is smart enough to know it wouldn't have because she is not stupid to risk her good grades, no matter how much she wanted to feel needed, and crave attention from her parents. In the end she didn't go through with her plan and instead she just got use to being a member of the family and nothing much more.

Overall my questions and wonderings were answered, even though I was kinda annoyed by what I found out, and the whole reason behind Auden's obsessive motivation to school and academics. But I am just glad I found out because now I can understand things a whole lot more clearer.

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS?.....

I have recently been wondering what Auden was going to do on her free time in the summer before she saw her dad for the summer. But then later on I quickly found out that she was sometimes a tutor and on her free time she would try to pickup shifts as a tutor at Huntsinger Test Prep. I also learned that Auden doesn't really like hanging out with people from her school on her free time because she doesn't really know them and its awkward between, so she didn't really go on much outing with them anymore.

I also had been wondering why Auden had insomnia, or what triggered it to make it start. And I found out that it all started when she started realizing her parents marriage was splitting up, and that alarmed her and made her her nervous, and thats how it all started three years ago. Every since then she just learned new ways on how to deal with it.

Overall this week was great, I learned new things about my characters and the plot was progressing, and I am enjoying this read. I also got all my wonderings and questions answered for this week.

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS?!!! - Along for the Ride

*GUIDE: AUDEN is one of the main female characters

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS:

Recently I was wondering if Auden was going to go to the prom, considering that she is always concerned about her grades, and since she never really is into the whole prom scene. I assumed she didn't want to go, but she got asked to the prom and she said yes, but then later her date bailed on her and she seemed a bit disappointed. I just assumed that she wouldn't want to go anymore since she doesn't have a date anymore, but it seems that she wants to go, and she even said that she was going. So now I know that Auden does like some school functions such as the senior prom, plus Auden thought that since its her last year she should actually be more active and do more things in her last year of high school.

I also was questioning if Auden still wanted to have a relationship with her dad, because it seemed like they were distant for some time. She seemed like she was scared to talk to him at some points and then at other points she would seem like she doesn't care for her dad. Later as I read I found out that she emailed her dad, asking to stay with him for while and he replied saying yes, and it seems that everything between them is going so far so good. I am honestly glad that Auden is deciding to connect with her dad again.

That is all the questions and wonderings I had for this week and so far I really am enjoying this book, and I am glad I switch to this book. Once again another Sarah Dessen book that I love.

QUESTIONS AND WONDERINGS?....

My new book is called Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

I have recently been curious if Auden's' mom and dad were still together and having more kids together, but that was not the case. Auden's' mom and dad had been split up and now her dad is seeing another woman and they had a kid together. They also asked Auden to come visit for the summer.

When Auden was in her sophomore year her dad had left the house. Then after they explained the whole story, I was wondering if Auden had any step-sisters or brothers. And it turns out that she does. She has a step-sister named Thisbe Caroline West, and she was born the day before her graduation. She was the new born that I talked about in the beginning.

So far as I am reading I am learning a lot about the main characters personal life, and so far as I am reading along the author has explained everything very well, and I am following along. I think I am liking this book so far better than the other one.

Hush, Hush New Book & Questions and Wonderings

New Book: Hush, Hush
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick

I recently have been wondering, if Nora who is the main character, teachers is going to spilt up her best friend Yee and her apart in class, because her teacher recently said that the seating arrangements were going to be changed. And so  I wondered if Nora did not end up next to Yee then who would be her new partner? Nora and Yee were both also very worried, because they both never really were forced to sit next to anyone when they went to class or they weren't ever aware that there was an assigned seat to follow because the teacher never really brought it up until today, and so therefore they weren't use to being in class separated from each other which is what caused them to be startled and a little worried and upset. On the other hand they both didn't take it too hard, because it was just so far one class.

When I was reading, I soon found out who Nora's new partner was the new kid and he is a transfer student and his name is Patch. Patch and Nora recently became biology partners and are so far the two main characters, and as I am starting of this new book I am picking up vibe that there will be more of Patch. Also Yee is one of the main characters as well.

So far my question and wondering has been answered. I didn't have a lot of questions, because I am getting started into a new book, but I dod look forward to getting into this book and having lots of questions and wonderings. As I just started this new book, I am so far into it, and can't wait to read more.

Review: Paper Towns

MY REVIEW: Paper Towns

I just finished reading Paper Towns by John Green, and I loved how it was written and I also loved the concept.  Paper Towns  gave me a different POV on life. I saw something different then I saw in any other book that I read, I saw the reality in it. I may not be able to relate to most of the characters in the book or even the main characters such as Margo and Quentin, but I do understand them. Margo was the main character and she wasn't like the average girl, but no one is the average anything, everyone is different, but Margo's personality was completely different. She was mysterious and curious. As well as Quentin. Quentin didn't know it at first but he himself is very mysterious, something he understood no one else could. Quentin understood Margo in a way no one did. He still had curiosity about her, but that was just because he was fascinated with her.
Overall Paper Towns was interesting and very confusing, but it was meaning, It gave you a whole different perspective of life. That no book that I have read yet fully covered, and I'm not just talking about covering all the issues in life, I am talking about understanding the meaning of life, and why living in the moment is so important to many different levels of excitement.
I truly believe that if one were to read Paper Towns by John Green they would understand what I am trying to conspire, about my option on this book.

I rate Paper Towns by John Green 10/5!!!!
